From the Headteacher
I hope you enjoy viewing this website, and that it will give you a flavour of our school. We are very proud of our reputation as a school of quality and great character. Staff and students work in harmony and with mutual respect; the excellent results that our students achieve are very much the product of that close working partnership.
Our school has grown in popularity in recent years, and increased student numbers have enabled us to broaden and enhance our curriculum, to include a range of GCSE and A level subjects usually only found in larger schools.
We are essentially a small school, however, where teachers and students know each other well. We are traditional in ethos, but we appreciate the need to equip our students for a future full of change. Our intention is that students leave us with confidence in their ability to make their mark in a competitive and demanding world and value themselves and the contribution they can make to society.
In 2002 we were delighted to be awarded Language College status. We followed that up a year later with an International School award. We pride ourselves on having an international ethos and an awareness and appreciation of global issues.
The school’s success is based on two factors: a thorough understanding of what makes for good teaching and learning and an active partnership between the school, parents and students.
