Examination Results 2015
Record A-Level Results for High School bucks National Trend.
In the national context of falling numbers of top grades being achieved at A-Level, High School Sixth Form students achieved their best ever results in the top grades. The percentage of qualifications being graded at A* almost doubled from 6.9% in 2014 to 12.9% of all A-Levels taken being awarded at the top A* grade this summer.
The proportion of qualifications at A grade also increased with the A*-A headline figure rising from 24.8% in 2014 to 36.9% in 2015, despite the national level of A*-A qualifications falling to a new record low.
Individual students had fantastic success. 29 of the cohort achieved at least straight As in all three of their A2 qualifications, 14 of those students achieving two or more A*s in their three examination subjects.
In addition to the outstanding results at the top end, 88% of all qualifications were graded at least C or above with the overall pass mark at A-Level at 99.2%
Congratulations to all students who received their results today and good luck for your next step.
GCSE Examination Results 2015

Over 70% of all GCSEs taken were graded at A or A*. Students at the High School continue to make excellent progress from their starting points entering the school. This was particularly noticeable in the number of the top grades achieved with 35% of all GCSEs being awarded at A*. This was an increase of 5% from 2014.
