High School For Girls

Believe, Achieve, Thrive

Welcome from Miss Giblin

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome from Claire Giblin

"For those of you who are new to the school, my name is Claire Giblin, and I am the Headteacher.

I look forward to meeting you at future events.  I had the great pleasure of welcoming students back to the High School last week.   We held assemblies and talked to them about the bravery principle.  We spoke about the importance of being brave and not just striving for perfection.  We see it all the time in our classrooms, students who try to scrub out workings, students who will even tear out pages in their books so we can’t see the imperfections – but I spoke to them about being brave because if they share those imperfections with us we can go through those workings with them, to help them be the best version of themselves that they can be.

We want them to be brave beyond the classroom, we want them to volunteer for work experience, we want them to go to local schools and work with the students there, we want them to sign up for World Challenge, because it’s through all of these experiences that our students turn out to be the best versions of themselves that they can be.

Welcome, to Denmark Road High School".
