Believe, Achieve, Thrive

Funding Consultation, School Fund, Year 10 Parents' Consultation, Parental Survey, House Events and Upcoming Events

Funding Consultation

Thank you to all the parents that contacted their MP’s and completed the funding consultation.  Certainly the outcry over funding for schools has frequently been in the news.  Hopefully, Justine Greening has heard all the concerns from Headteachers, Governors, Staff, Parents and the MPs.  I have been proactive and have sent the concerns of the High School to Justine Greening via The National Grammar Schools’ Association and also signed up to the letter that went from Gloucestershire Secondary Heads.

As soon as the budgetary situation is known for 2017-18.  I will be holding a meeting for parents.

School Fund Update

So far, we have had £7,216 in for the School Fund which will enable us to provide money for various initiatives that the students have had.  Once decisions have been made on what the money will be spent on I will inform parents.

I would ask parents who have not made their £60 contribution do so as soon as possible as this will enable us to support your daughter or son in their education.  At the moment there are several things that need updating or replacing.

Year 10 Parents’ Evening Consultation

This event was very well attended last night by parents/carers and students.  It is important that students celebrate all the positive comments made but also start working on areas for development so that they can make progress.  Please make sure your daughters do not leave this to Year 11.

Parental Survey over Progress Monitoring for Years 7 and 8

A huge thank you to parents who responded to Mrs Steele’s survey about Progress Monitoring Reports Years 7 and 8.  We had 118 responses.  The comments made will be reviewed and will enable us to further develop the system further.
