Art at High School for Girls offers students the opportunity to develop their creativity, technical skills and personal artistic styles. Students use colour, form, texture, pattern and different materials and processes to communicate their ideas. Our aim is to produce innovative, independent artists who are confident in researching, experimenting, developing ideas and risk taking. Benefits for our students include problem-solving skills, critical-thinking skills and a cooperative learning environment. Artwork is displayed throughout the school to celebrate the success of the student. The art rooms are a hive of activity at lunchtimes, Years 7-9 can participate in Art club and Years 10-13 for independent coursework.
