High School For Girls

Believe, Achieve, Thrive

Year 7 and 8 Disco - Friday 7 December 2018

During the winter months, the PTA for both Sir Thomas Rich’s and the High School for Girls run discos for the Year 7 and 8 students.  This is a great way of raising funds for the PTA and is enjoyed by all students. During the disco, we sell soft drinks, sweets and party items such as glow sticks. We are also looking at running a club night for the older students.  This will involve the hiring of a night club where only soft drinks will be sold and officially registered bouncers and staff will be present.  The night club also ensures that no alcohol is bought onto their premises and any advertising for alcohol, gambling or smoking is removed.
The PTA are always looking for helpers for the discos, so if you can help then please click on this link to register when you can help.  Many thanks.

Summer Fun Day 2018

The whole day was a great success and a real team effort.

Initial figures  show that we raised:

£1267 on the raffle, £144 more than last year! and £1440 from the Fun Day, £350 more than last year!

This is a fantastic result and was very much a team effort - we appreciate the donations from families and supporters, the time given up by parents, students, teachers and the PTA volunteers, not forgetting the school caretakers, Chris and John,  who helped so much in the preparations.

So a big thank you to everyone who helped in anyway large or small.

We hope everyone enjoyed the day and we look forward to next year.

PTA Christmas Fayre - Friday 16 November 2018

Last year's Christmas Fayre raised just over £700.  Please look out for details of this year's Fayre.

Quiz Night - Friday 29 March 2019

Please look out for details of the next Quiz Night in the new year.

Thinking of your own event?

If you are interested in setting up your own fundraising activity, why not create a page on Just Giving. It’s really easy and takes just a few minutes. You can personalise it with your own colours, photos and message. Then just email it to your friends and family, not forgetting the PTA so as we can let all parents know via our parentmail facilities. People can then donate online and leave you messages of support. JustGiving sends donations straight to the High School for Girls’ Parent and Teachers’ Association and adds Gift Aid to every eligible donation.
